Cadbury Fun Run 2024

Cadbury’s favourite annual event is back for 2024, so please save the date for Saturday 18th May!

This brilliant local charity fund-raiser has been running for many years now and attracts families, walkers and runners from all over the Cadbury area and beyond. It is a great afternoon for individuals, couples and groups of friends, families – and dogs on leads are very welcome too!

The first person to cross the finish line wins the Cadbury Cup. Last year it was local lad Greg Milden, and this year we’ll be adding some new special categories for finishers, including a best dressed award!

Whether you are coming for a walk and some beautiful scenery or to get competitive, be sure to gather up your friends and family and SAVE THE DATE for this fabulous event.

In order to give us an idea of numbers, please register your interest for this event by emailing [email protected] and letting us know how many you will be bringing.

Please see How to Find Us for directions to Fursdon.

If it’s possible to car-share to the event, we would really appreciate it, both to ease the pressure on parking and also the impact on the environment!

Registration opens at 1.30pm at the Coach Hall, with the event starting at 2pm. The entry fee is £5 for over 16s, £2 for children (pre-school children free) and £2 per dog!

The route is approximately four miles, going through woods and fields, up and down hills and crossing some of Mid-Devon’s most beautiful landscape. If the weather permits, you will enjoy extensive views to Exmoor and Dartmoor in the distance and to the Sidmouth Gap on the south coast. The terrain is hilly and uneven and if it has been wet, could be a bit muddy, so please wear appropriate footwear.

Drinks will be available en route, and, at the end, there will be our famous Cadbury tea laid out for you in the Coach Hall (for which we very much appreciate donations to cover costs).

Cadbury’s church is a wonderful historical building which is a real treasure in our community, and, of course, a place where weddings, funerals, christenings and many other community events can take place. The church is still raising funds so that heating and an outdoor loo can also be added.

Your participation in the Cadbury Fun Run will help to make this happen, with any additional dontations much appreciated 🙂

We will also be raising funds for another local charity, TBC.

Please spread the word near and far.

If you have any queries, please do ring the estate office on 01392 860860 or email us at [email protected]

We very much look forward to seeing you on Saturday 18th May!
