Fursdon appreciated

A slightly unusual blog but well worth sharing this little nugget. An e-mail came into the inbox at Fursdon this morning and gave us all a warm feeling.
Dear Judi,
I was woken very early this morning by screeching parakeets, the bin men and a scaffolding gang. The delights of the city – no wonder I can’t wait to go back to Fursdon! I tried to submit the piece below about our stay in Fursdon Cottage to Tripadvisor yesterday but sadly without success. Please use this as you see fit. It is from the heart.
“Such a pleasure to arrive at Fursdon Cottage and be welcomed by a pretty posy of flowers, apple juice from the estate and scones, jam and cream.
We had a lovely break there. The cottage is most attractive:- comfortable, spacious and airy and impeccably maintained.
We loved the views, the birdsong and the delicious home -made teas in the Coach house. To city dwellers such as ourselves, the local countryside seems delightfully rural and remote with lanes full of wild flowers, frothy with cow parsley. Further afield are Dartmoor, the North Devon coast, Exmoor, the RHS gardens at Rosemoor, Exeter and the East Devon coast. On the spot are walks from the door and heavenly peace. We can’t wait to return.”
Our thanks again and very best wishes from Sally, Hugh and Susie.
Warm glow passed on. Come and feel it for yourself!
