Heritage Open Days is England's largest festival of history and culture, bringing together over 2,500 organisations, 5,000 events and 40,000 volunteers. This year there are eight days in September when places across the country will throw open their doors to celebrate their heritage, community and history. It’s your chance to see hidden places and try out new experiences – and it’s all FREE.
After great success last year Fursdon House and Garden is taking part in the Heritage Open Days again. It will be open for Free entry on Thursday 6th and Thursday 13th September from 2pm to 5pm.
Visitors can take a guided tour of Fursdon House and stroll in the lovely gardens and grounds, taking in the history and heritage of this ancient family home.
Tours will be a 2.30 and 3.30pm on each day with a maximum of 20 people on each tour.
Tea and cake will also be available to buy in the Coach Hall Tea Room.
