The entrance to the accommodation is via a picturesque courtyard and a wide oak staircase to the first floor where each apartment has a private entrance. Fursdon Cottage has its own entrance along a short lane.

Baby Equipment
Cots and High Chairs can be requested on your booking form. Please bring your child's own cot linen.
Heating and Electricity
Oil fired central heating normally runs from September to May depending on the weather. The cost of electricity, gas and hot water is included in the tariff.
Water
Fursdon enjoys a private water supply from springs on the estate so you can enjoy fresh spring water to drink. To maintain the ecological balance only environmentally friendly cleaning products are used at Fursdon.
Laundry
Fursdon cottage has its utility room with washing machine and drier. The Park and Garden Wings can use the laundry room, which is in the courtyard with a washing machine and coin operated tumble drier. There is a washing line in the garden if you prefer.
Grounds and Garden
You have access to most of the grounds and gardens. With the help of an estate map you can walk further afield. Near the children's swings are picnic tables and space for ball games. The informal grass tennis court is available when not in use for other activities and is dependent on weather conditions.
Pets
Please note that dogs are only allowed at Fursdon Cottage and its garden and must be well trained and with responsible owners. Pets are not allowed in the Park and Garden Wings. We have animals and livestock of our own and want to avoid any possible conflict!
Car Parking and Transport
You can bring your car down to the courtyard gate to load and unload. The car park is about 50 metres from the house. Fursdon Cottage has its own parking space. As public transport is limited a car is essential. The lanes around Fursdon offer a challenge for the energetic cyclist.
